Episode 1 Prologue Praying Angel

The boy had vowed never to read a fantasy novel again. He had sworn not to read any classic fantasy novels, especially ones with heroes and demon lords.

Isn’t it funny when you think about it? Why is this guy called the Demon King suddenly trying to destroy humanity, and why is he so incredibly strong? But what was even more absurd was the warrior. There is a human being chosen by God who can defeat the devil. Yes, heroes exist… … .

This is the most absurd thing.

A hero exists.

There is absolutely no such thing.

“Damn it.”

After all, a novel was just a novel. Even if a demon lord had appeared in this world, there was no reason why there should have been a hero who could defeat such a crazy monster. A warrior was only a concept in novels.

The man smoothed out the rebar sticking out of his abdomen. I don’t know the exact name, but it was a pole I often saw on construction sites. It was clearly a rod used to build the foundation of a building. There is something about human life that is so tough that a person is still alive despite having a stick like this stuck in their stomach.

“In the end, I thought there would be no such thing as a hero.”

That moment.

An angelic voice came from behind.

“It’s not like that.”

People see vain things just before they die. Scientifically, it is a well-established theory that the brain creates illusions due to poor oxygen supply to the brain.

In that sense, the man was not surprised when he saw the illusion. He just thinks it’s time to go.

“Heroes exist.”

“Well, let’s say so.”

You’re talking about a light that suddenly came down from the sky and a hero. It would be a very interesting phenomenon if it weren’t for the illusions one sees while dying.

“If only the children who would become heroes had not fallen victim to mankind’s greed, if they had not fallen victim to their schemes, if only there had been someone who could understand their sorrow… “Humanity must have had warriors.”

It was a fact that men also agreed to some extent.

But what can I do? Isn’t it meaningless?

“If there were an angel, a guardian angel who guides young warriors on the right path and protects them from the trials that come to them… “Humanity would not have perished like this.”

It was a definitive tone. The man suddenly thought that that voice was very beautiful. It’s like a voice from heaven.

“You must be that angel.”

“… I? why?”

“Because you are the last survivor of humanity.”

“So, what does that have to do with angels… … .”

You’re crossing the line into a fantasy created by your brain.

The man tried to stand up, but his arms had no strength. All I could do was nod my head.

That’s how the man saw the identity of the light.

It was an angel.

A deeply wounded angel stood before him. Behind his back are white wings made of light, and his body is full of unusual wounds. Nevertheless, the boy maintained his angelic appearance.

“To those children… “You will become a much better angel than me.”

The angel put his hands together and prayed.

<Sacrificing one’s entire being for the world is more angelic than any other angel!>

<… … .>

<… … .>

<A miracle has come true.>
